Hi there.  I am Victor, I am a high school senior (Class of 2024) and I created this website to inspire others to launch a Humanitarian Garden Project.  There are many great examples of community gardens in the US and around the world, but sometimes it take a "name" to really see that it is a movement that is not just a few isolated initiatives.

What's unique about Humanitarian Gardens is that they encompass both the community and the environment. And of course that the food that is grow is for members of the community in need.  

Reach out if you want me to add your garden. If you adhere to the three principals of the Humanitarian Garden Project, we will give you the official designation and you can use it on your website, offline and in your marketing and fundraising efforts.

As this movement grows, I plan to add more resources, especially financial aid, scholarships and grants to start and maintain gardens. We are in conversation with a few foundations that are interested in funding projects, but found the relativelly small scale of the needs of individual garden too time consuming to justify a grant proposal. I hope to "roll -up" dozens or even houndreds of innitiatives.
